The prospect of a Supreme Court ruling that would clear states to legalize sports betting has led to a frenzy of activity in state legislatures across the country. As of last week, six had passed laws and 10 were considering active bills, with as many as a half dozen more giving indications that they’re not far behind. It’s all about adding tax revenue — and getting to hungry sports bettors ahead of the state next door.
