Most workers surveyed: AI hasn't affected their employment

A YouGov survey of 1,250 U.S. employed adults fielded July 30-Aug. 4, 2026, found that most people said AI didn't help them get a new job, and didn't contribute to either losing a job or earning a promotion. But 6% of respondents said they had landed a new job because of AI, 3% said they had lost a job due to AI and 9% attributed a promotion to artificial intelligence.
