After Trump, more detained immigrants without any criminal history

Among detained immigrants arrested by ICE, the proportion with no criminal convictions or pending charges soared under President Donald Trump, reaching an average of 35% in September, compared to an average of 6% under former President Joe Biden in December 2024.

Data includes only those who were arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations inside the country and sent to detention. It does not reflect actions taken by Customs and Border Protection.
