How much debt did 2021 grads have when they left N.J. colleges?

Most of the Class of 2021 left college with federal student loan debt. At New Jersey’s four-year colleges, the median debt ranged from $10,450 to $27,000, federal education data shows. The numbers include only money owned for federal loans. Private loans and other borrowing are not included.

Data includes only federal student loans taken out by students who graduated from the program they enrolled in. Data as of 2020-2021 school year.
