Renewable energy projections are from the REPEAT project's average annual capacity additions. 2030 annual capacity addition estimates projected to be 49 GW, 2 GW, and 6 GW Pre-IRA and 105 GW, 14 GW, and 7 GW Post-IRA for solar, onshore wind and offshore wind, respectively. Note IIJA's impact is included in the Pre-IRA estimtates. Steel intensity (per MW) for each technology is assumed to be 62 t/MW, 122 t/MW, and 723 t/MW for solar, onshore and offshore wind, respectively.
