Support for minimum skilled visa salary
Q: The government has announced it will raise the minimum wage that can be paid to temporary skilled visa holders from $53,900 a year to $70,000 a year. Some argue this is a fair wage for skilled people that does not undercut Australian workers, but others say it is a very large increase that will push up prices for consumers and result in fewer people being employed.
