Lead Service Line Estimates and Funding for Replacement

Source: This map displays projected service line and lead content data from the EPA’s 7th Drinking Water Infrastructure Needs Survey and Assessment (DWINSA) and DWSRF Lead Service Line Replacement Allocations for fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

Note: Roughly 75% of public water systems participated in the EPA's 7th DWINSA. EPA is providing a one-time opportunity for previously surveyed water systems to update their 7th DWINSA service line material questionnaire responses through November 2023. EPA will publish updates to this data in March 2024, and adjust FY24 Allocations accordingly.
