Small family farms produced a quarter of the country's beef in 2020

This chart shows the percent of value of production at different sized farms. The USDA defines "family farm" as one where family members own the majority of the assets used in operation. "Large-scale" means an annual income of more than $1 million. *Because of rounding, numbers may not add up to 100.*
