Federal Employees by State (FedScope, Sept. 2024)

FedScope provides data about most of the federal workforce in the executive branch. The map below shows the distribution of federal employees across the country in September 2024. 

An additional 276,235 federal employees work in the U.S. but their locations are not provided for security reasons and so are not reflected in the map.
