The chart is divvied up by race to show the gaps, with Asian or Pacific Islander having the largest difference between share who never feel represented (15%) and who believe news is critical to democracy (70%).
Poll fielded online from August 22-29, 2022, among a national sample of 20,799 adults with a modeled error estimate of ±1.0 percentage points.

Due to sample size, Middle Eastern and North African ethnicities are included under White.
