CEO pay compared to workers' wages

Here's how CEO pay compares to the median worker's at 14 companies active in Oregon or southwest Washington, plus CEO pay for eight regional companies that don't disclose workers' wages.

Companies used different methodologies for estimating median workers' pay so reported wages may not be directly comparable. For example, most of the employees in Greenbrier's calculation work outside the U.S. in places where payrolls are lower. Some smaller companies and newly publicly ones aren't required to report their CEO pay ratio.

Compensation for Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger was inflated by a stock-based hiring bonus in 2021; because Intel's stock subsequently declined, many of those shares are worthless. Dutch Bros CEO Joth Ricci's compensation was inflated by stock grants associated with the company's 2021 IPO.
