Voter registration rates for 18-year-olds in Maine

Maine often leads the country in voter turnout, but it has work to do when it comes to registering 18-year-olds to vote. A nonprofit found Maine lagged behind other states in only having 35.6 percent of its 18-year-old residents registered to vote.

This map shows the different 18-year-old voter registration rates for each Maine county. Hancock County leads with 47 percent, while Aroostook has the lowest rate of 26.9 percent.
