Set of four line charts showing the number and share of ICE arrests Sep 2023 - Jul 2025. Total arrests rose sharply in December 2024. At that same point, the share of these arrests that were in prisons dropped significantly from 72% in Dec 2024 to 39% in July 2025. We are also shown the share of arrestees with Mexican citizenship and the share that are male, both of which have dropped somewhat since Dec 2024.

This figure shows the total number of ICE arrests (A), the share of arrestees apprehended in prison (B), the share of arrestees who have Mexican citizenship (C), and the share of arrestees who are male (D). The arrest data for July 2025 do not cover the entire month, according to the Deportation Data Project.
