Suicides, homicides up in Georgia state prisons

The most recent three-year period (2020-22) was far deadlier than the previous (2017-19) for inmates in prisons operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections. An Atlanta Journal-Constitution analysis shows that the most recent three-year period saw 36 more suicides and 62 more homicides at the facilities.
