Electricity generation sources in Russia and Ukraine

More than half of Ukraine's electricity generation in 2023 came from nuclear plants, whereas it only constituted 18 percent of Russia's power generation. Russia is far more reliant on natural gas for power generation, with 45 percent of its electricity coming from gas in 2023.
