Somalia protection extended

Temporary Protected Status (TPS), established by Congress in 1990 provides temporary lawful status to foreign nationals in the United States from countries experiencing armed conflict, natural disaster, or other extraordinary circumstances that prevent their safe return. Here are the countries currently covered by TPS.

* Data reflect individuals with TPS as of October 12, 2017; may include some individuals who have since adjusted to another status, left the country or died; and do not necessarily include all migrants from the specified countries who are in the United States and are eligible for the status.
