Too many jobs in CT pay too little for families to survive

Only one of the Top 10 most common jobs in the state paid at least $45.33 per hour, enough for a family to afford a basic, “survival” budget in 2018, according to the United Way’s ALICE analysis. And only two of the Top 10 most common jobs paid enough — $22.67 per hour if both spouses held low-wage jobs — to clear this threshold.
