Expected Local Tax Payments from Planned Renewable Energy Developments in Rural Texas

Wind, solar, and storage projects that have not yet come online in rural Texas are expected to generate over $4.7 billion in local tax revenue over their lifetimes.

Metropolitan counties are grayed out. Expected projects are those that have signed interconnection agreements with the utility but have not yet come online. For aggregate values in the economic impact report which first published this dataset, wind and solar projects were estimated to have a 30-year lifetime and energy storage projects were estimated to have a 15-year lifetime.
