The graph compares "Total convictions" (shown in dark blue) and "Convictions with gun enhancements" (shown in orange). A vertical dashed line indicates where SB 620 took effect at the beginning of 2018. Total convictions remain high (near 40,000) until 2017, then decline significantly, hitting a low point in 2020 before partially recovering and then trending downward again to approximately 21,000 by 2025. Convictions with gun enhancements remain relatively flat and much lower in comparison, starting at 2,122 in 2014 and ending at 1,140 in 2025.
