Post-Clerkship Careers

A study tracked the post-clerkship careers of 94% of the people who clerked for a Supreme Court justice in the past 40 years. Many went on to practice law with a private law firm, while about a quarter became legal academics at law schools.

Government careers include both elected and appointed positions; careers in "Other" include banking, nonprofits, writing, and more.
