Minnesota family and medical leave benefit estimates

The Minnesota Legislative Budget Office projects a new state-run family and medical leave program would payout about $1 billion in benefits to roughly 200,000 residents a year. Roughly 400 new state workers would be needed to administer the program funded through a new 0.7 percent tax.
