As at 31 March 2024, other than numbers still in PNG (as at 31 December 2021), and number recognised as refugees by regional processing country (as at 31 December 2023)

Figure for PNG is at 31 December 2021, the date the arrangement with PNG ended, and now includes one person incarcerated that has been excluded from the figures otherwise provided by the Department. Total resettled only relates to outcomes facilitated by the Department of Home Affairs, and does not includes 13 people transferred from PNG to US after 31 December 2021. Number voluntarily returned includes 3 people returned to third country, otherwise excluded from official statistics.
