Percent difference in first doses administered in one week per county, Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 versus Nov. 10 to Nov. 16

On Nov. 3, 5- to 11-year-olds became eligible for the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine. This map compares the average number of first doses given the week before the eligibility announcement with the second week after. Momentum gains across the middle of the state as Howard County surges, but Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore still lag. Vaccines for those under 12 years old made up nearly half, or 44%, of all vaccine doses administered since Nov. 3 statewide.
