Though most ancestral remained have been returned by Baltimore instutions, many still remain at the Maryland Historical Trust

The ancestral remains in Maryland Historical Trust represent 55 people affiliated with Piscataway Indians. As of Feb. 7, no tribal organization has reached out to claim them, according to state officials. The state reburied the other ancestral remains between 2011 and 2013.
