Across 46 campaign channels, tariff talk came almost entirely from Democrats

YouTube uploads naming tariffs or a trade war, July 1 to Oct. 26, 2026, 46 Democratic, 1 Republican. The lone Republican upload was Mike Rogers (MI-Sen) calling to end the Canada tariff war.

Notes: Races covered: Senate in AK, GA, IA, KS, ME, MI, MS, NC, NE, NH, OH, and TX; House in IA-03, MI-08, MO-05, PA-01, and PA-08; governor in IA, IL, and MI.
