EquiRatings predictive modelling uses historical results, horse experience and horse ability (based on clear rates and Elo ratings) to predict each horse's rail probability and speed-per-round. For win and clear chances, we use the model to simulate the competition 10,000 times, accounting for each entry, the competition level, prize money, format, etc. We re-run the simulation after each round.
