Students comprise majority of UHS emergency room patients with psychological concerns from January to November 2023

Majority of patients who went to the emergency room (ER) of the University Health Service (UHS) for mental health concerns are students, consisting of 36 individuals or 62% from January to November 2023.

This is followed by non-UP constituents, comprising 24% or 14 ER patients. Meanwhile, only one faculty member or 1.7% was accommodated by the UHS ER department.
