Deadly crashes spiked in Hillsborough County in 2021.

In 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic hit, there were eight hourlong periods of the day in which crashes in the county cumulatively killed 10 or more people. In 2021, the "deadliest hours" nearly doubled to 15 out of 24 hours of the day.
