Costs of passively-managed and actively-managed Swiss retirement funds
The graphic accounts for the total costs of actively-managed and passively-managed retirement funds from each service provider. Total costs include the TER, custody fees, brokerage fees, and flat fees (sales charges). These simplified cost calculations are based on the assumption that an initial amount of 100,000 francs will be invested in a retirement fund or retirement mandate for a period of 10 years. Retirement funds from third-party service providers are not accounted for. Because different funds from the same bank may have different TERs, the costs are shown as a span between the lowest and highest possible cost.
