STATE NOTE. Results reflect the CMAS assessment, administered to grades 3-8; data accessed 8/19/26. "Proficiency" here includes students who met or exceeded expectations on the assessment (levels 4-5).
SUBGROUP NOTE. Student subgroups may be defined differently depending on the State Education Agency (SEA), and not all subgroups are available from all SEAs (some subgroups may not have available data across all years or select years). SWD= Students with disabilities; EL = English learners.
2020 NOTE. State Education Agencies (SEAs) did not administer assessments in Spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic (noted in figure).
2021 NOTE. In Colorado in 2021, ELA was only tested in grades 3, 5, and 7; math was only tested in grades 4, 6, and 8.
