Global Urban vs. Rural Population
In recent decades, urban populations have surpassed rural ones as more people than ever are moving into and living in cities.
This line graph displays the global urban versus global rural population. The graph, starting at 1960, shows urban and rural population at approximately one billion and two billion respectively and steadily increasing. At about 2006, global urban population surpasses global rural population.
