Months ahead or behind national average, adjusted for socio-economic differences

Relative achievement levels controlled for school ICSEA, including all schools with ICSEA from 875 to 1125 (roughly 80 per cent of all students). Mean NAPLAN scores from 2010 to 2016 translated to equivalent year level (EYL) using an updated version of the methodology in Widening Gaps (2016). The EYL scale is based on the average performance of metropolitan non-Indigenous students over 2010-2017.
