Note: Prosecutors must fulfill their discovery obligations and file a certificate of compliance (COC) within 50 days of arraignment in detained cases and within 65 days in released cases (increased from initial 20- and 35-day timelines, respectively, after allowing for a permissible 30-day extension).

This second method erred high and, for example, pegged compliance rates in released cases at 16% for New York City, 23% for Suburban NYC, and 47% for Upstate.
