Early in 2023, in response to polling a sizable majority of Overdrive readers (75%) indicated credit scores in ranges above 700, generally considered "good" credit in the markets for truck loans today. Even so, given the rise in the last year in interest rates, borrowing costs can be high even for good-credit borrowers. The lower the credit score gets, generally, the higher the cost. A credit score below 650 can yield rates in the high teens or even 20s.
