Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. began the primary election season with a big lead over progressive challenger Matt Dugan, according to a mid-February survey conducted by an outside group backing Mr. Dugan. Obtained by the Post-Gazette, the poll surveyed 500 likely voters in the May 16 Democratic primary.
