Thanksgiving dinner costs surged during the pandemic and have been falling since 2022

American Farm Bureau Federation estimates for the cost of a classic Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people from 2015 to 2025. Costs were relatively stable before the pandemic, surged in 2021 and 2022, and have fallen for three consecutive years since.

Prices are nominal, not adjusted for inflation. The AFBF uses the same food basket each year, collected by volunteer shoppers in all 50 states and Puerto Rico during a single week in early November.
