Low-wage workers are getting older: For example, the share of low-wage workers aged 55 and older has more than doubled from 2000 to 2022

The bars show the share of workers paid low wages in 2022 compared to 2000, for each age group. For example, 5.8% of all workers aged 55–64 were paid low wages in 2000, but that share more than doubled by 2022 to 11.9%.
