Figure 4 - Market Value: Percentage of exports bound for China

This chart shows the percentage of China-bound exports in seven different countries from 2000 to 2021. These countries, in order of most percentage of exports to China to least, are Australia, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. The percentage for all countries has risen over time, though the lower four countries have seen more modest increases of around 5% or so. Australia, on the other hand, has gone from 6% of exports bound for China in 2000 to 40% in 2021. This highlights just how economically reliant numerous countries have become on trade with China.
