This thematic map shows the share of US adults age 65 and older with a disability in each US state or territory. Dark shades indicate higher disability prevalence, while lighter shades indicate lower prevalence. Disability prevalence among seniors is higher in the parts of the southern US. Over half of seniors in Puerto Rico have a disability, compared to less than a third in Vermont.
