Minnesota greenhouse gas emissions higher than projected

Minnesota is missing its targets for cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by more than officials thought. The goal for 2025 was a 30% reduction from 2005 levels, but emissions have only dropped 8%.

Note: Minnesota’s greenhouse gas emissions (million tons CO2-e), 2005-2018, compared to the 2015, 2025 and 2050 goals of the Next Generation Energy Act.
