San Bernardino County Point-in-Time Homeless Count

The homeless population in San Bernardino County has steadily increased over the last eight years. The Point-in-Time Homeless Count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. The count is conducted on one night in January. In 2021, an exception was made for the count due to the COVID-19 pandemic and safety concerns.

Chart includes a combined count of both sheltered and unsheltered homeless populations. Sheltered individuals refer to those who spend the night in emergency shelters, or in transitional or temporary housing. Unsheltered individuals refer to those who sleep on the streets, in cars or in abandoned buildings.
