Total mass shootings and mass murders 2021 to 2025. 2021 was the highest with 661 mass shootings and 28 other mass murders.
Note: A mass shooting is defined as an incident in which at least four people are shot, either injured or killed, not including the shooter. Mass murder involves four or more victims killed, also excluding the shooter.
