SD property tax assessment freeze participation by county, 2024

In 2024, 4,705 South Dakota property owners participated in the South Dakota Assessment Freeze for the Elderly and Disabled. Nearly 18% of participating households resided in Minnehaha County. The Governor's Office estimates around 23,000 households were eligible for the program.
