The students competed Saturday at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. They qualified for the competition by winning their school spelling bees and competing in a regional round. Note: The word column is the word each student spelled wrong and the words the winner spelled correctly.

Two other students made the finals but did not participate in the competition Saturday: Amy Nguyen (Liverpool Elementary) and Abigail Rice (Gillette Road Middle, North Syracuse).
