36 states have not provided voter information the feds want

The federal government has requested voter registration information from at least 48 states and the District of Columbia. Of those, 12 have provided the complete list – though one, Oklahoma, only did so after being sued by the federal government. Another five states have provided information already available to the public, which does not include confidential voter data. And 29 other states have faced federal lawsuits seeking court orders to share the data.
