Four slope charts show the U.S. birth rate among teenagers age 15-19, by race/ethnicity, from 2000 to 2022. Every group (American Indian/Alaska Native, Black, white and Hispanic) has trended downward dramatically in that time, with the overall trend being 11.7 births per 1,000 female teenagers in 2022, down from 37.5. Hispanic teens have had the steepest drop, from 66.7 to 18.1.
