Hate Crimes against religious minorities across the Indian States (2009-18) and BJP's Vote Share in 2014 and 2019 LS elections:

Data shows the hate crimes against minorities have risen to 82% since BJP's regime completed its first term (2014-18) in Parliament. However, the BJP's 2019 LS all India vote share shows a 2.24% increase in comparison to the 2014 LS all India vote share.

The data on Hate Crime was initially published in "https://factchecker.in/." Though, for some unknown reasons, the website is not responding anymore. However, the same data has been cited in Dipankar Gupta's working paper "Dominance of Majoritarian Politics and Hate Crimes against Religious Minorities in India, 2009-18." The data on Vote Share has been collected from Lok Dhaba, it is a repository of Indian election results maintained and owned by Ashoka University.
