Fair Lending Review Analysis: Race Results

¹Within the High SES tests, we found that in nine tests the Black tester was favored and in 12 tests there was no difference in treatment between the Black and White testers. Our paper focuses on the 38.2% of tests that revealed a difference in treatment as these behaviors are fair lending violations. ²Within the Low SES tests, we found that in four tests the Black tester was favored, in 14 tests there was no difference in treatment, and one test was inconclusive between the Black and White testers. Our paper focuses on the 44.1% of tests that revealed a difference in treatment as these behaviors are fair lending violations.
