Registered nurse (RN) daily minimum care fulfillment under new federal requirements

This chart shows the number of days (out of 91) during January through March 2024 during which Door County nursing homes met the staffing minimums for registered nurses under a new federal ruling. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid issued the ruling on May 10; implementation will be staggered over the next five years, depending on the location of a facility. Rural facilities will be given more time to fulfill the requirements than urban ones.
