Hispanic middle class grows

The Hispanic middle class, defined as those households making between two-thirds and twice their state's median income, is growing quickly and is near parity with white households in seven of the 15 states where at least 1 in 10 households is Hispanic.

Stateline analysis defines middle-class income as between two-thirds and twice the adjusted median household income for a given state. Household income is adjusted to a standard three-person household.
